The October issue of Flash Art International continues its focus on the medium of painting and its multilayered nature, premiered in the July-September issue.

Kunsthalle ZГјrich director Beatrix Ruf analyzes the work of Colombia-born, London-based artist Oscar Murillo and his recent projects in Miami and London. In a back-and-forth correspondence with Ruf, Murillo describes his energetic and unique working methods.

Independent writer Laura McLean-Ferris interviews Rio de Janeiro-born-and-based artist Fernanda Gomes, whose work will be the subject of a solo show at the Centre international d’art et du paysage de l’Г®le de VassiviГЁre, opening in October, as well as included in the upcoming Istanbul Biennial.
