Location:

Camac is located in the scenic village of Marnay-sur-Seine within the region of Champagne – Ardenne, a dynamic community on the banks of the river Seine. Camac occupies a 16th century abbey and two other buildings within an enclosed garden.

1 to 6 months

Artists will have to find fundings to cover some residency cost. Camac engages itself to help them in any possible way in their research for funding.Once on site, their only spending will be for their own entertainment and personal requirements.

Camac is part of theВ UNESCO-Aschberg BursariesВ for artists which aims to open new careers prospects for young artists. Every year one bursary of 3 month residency is given to one visual artist and one writer. Camac and Fondation TГ©not offer each year a residency bursary to one visual artist, one writer and one musician or composer in order to create new career prospects for artists.
Outside of these frameworks, the artist will need to find additional funding to cover some residency costs.

The selection of the artists is done by their artistic comitee. Its decision is motivated by the quality of the project, its adequacy to camac’s philosophy and environment, as well as by the applicant’s past achievement. The residency programme is open all year long. The application form can be found on Camac’s website.Unesco Aschberg call for applications 2014: CAMAC welcomes applications in creative writing and visual arts until October 15, 2013.
