SCOPE London | The Old Truman Brewery

SCOPE proudly returns to London for its fifth year

SCOPE proudly returns to London for its fifth year, answering the demand for an alternative platform presenting international contemporary art. After a two year hiatus watching the world markets settle, SCOPE London 2011 confidently returns to London’s dynamic East End arts and media quarter. SCOPE’s monumental venue, The Old Truman Brewery, perfectly compliments SCOPE’s core mission of introducing international collectors to contemporary art presented alongside museum quality programming, VIP tours, screenings, and special events.

SCOPE London opens to Press and VIP's on Thursday October 13th with the FirstView Benefit. This year's London edition brings a real-time international survey of the contemporary art world available nowhere else by focusing on 45 international exhibitors upholding SCOPE's unique tradition of one-person and thematic group shows. "SCOPE London 2011 proves we have watched the market and responded with calculated timing to a wide audience of taste makers who make art their business" says SCOPE President & Founder Alexis Hubshman. "Introducing artists, curators, and cutting-edge galleries to international audiences will make SCOPE London the most comprehensive destination for the emerging art world this October."

With over 40 fairs spanning ten years in Miami, Basel, New York, and London, SCOPE Art Show's have hosted an impressive line-up of A-list galleries, blue-chip institutional groups, and respected patrons, garnering critical acclaim, sales of over $150 million and attendance of over 350,000 visitors.

SCOPE London 2011 will be held in Brick Lane’s most exceptional exhibition hall, situated in the newly redeveloped warehouse of 22, 000 sq. ft. The space is a superbly unique venue benefitting from white walls, concrete floors and skylights.

The Old Truman Brewery is a historic 11 acre site on Brick Lane. The site has grown to become “the dynamic center” for the new wave of creative business entrepreneurs in London. The space benefits from heavy footfall and is supported by a fine infrastructure of independent shops, bars, cafes and restaurants unparallelled in London.
